Due to the widespread rain and thunderstorms stemming from Hurricane Polo, expected to impact the Greenwood, LA area from Wednesday until Sunday, World of Outlaws Late Model Series presented by DIRTVision and Boothill Speedway officials have agreed to cancel this weekend’s Bayou Classic.
The decision was made in consultation with Precision Weather Service, prioritizing the safety of race fans and the best interest of teams given the high cost of travel. No viable makeup dates remain in 2026, but the World of Outlaws look forward to returning to Boothill in 2027.
The World of Outlaws will turn its focus to the Carolinas for the final stretch of the 2026 season. The Most Powerful Late Models on the Planet will visit Modoc Speedway for the first time for the Modoc 100 on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23-24. Two weeks later, the 2026 champion will be crowned at The Dirt Track at Charlotte during Dave Smith Motors World of Outlaws World Finals on Wednesday-Saturday, Nov. 4-7.
