Michigan Oval Welcomes National Tour for NAPA ‘Lake Odessa 50’ Presented by Keyser on Friday, Aug. 22
LAKE ODESSA, Mich. – July 22, 2014 – Tickets for the NAPA ‘Lake Odessa 50’ Presented by Keyser at I-96 Speedway on Aug. 22 are now available for purchase online at www.worldofoutlaws.com/tickets.
A large crowd is expected for the $10,000-to-win World of Outlaws Late Model Series event as the national tour returns to I-96 Speedway for the first time in seven years. Fans are encouraged to secure their tickets in advance to take advantage of reduced pricing. Advance tickets are $25 for adults, increasing to $30 on the day of the race. Students ages 6-12 are $15. Ticket pre-sales end Tuesday, Aug. 19.
Gates are scheduled to open at 4:30 p.m. on the day of the event with hot laps set for 6:30 and racing getting underway at 8. The event will also feature racing in the modified and street stock divisions.
The WoO LMS made its only previous visit to I-96 Speedway on May 18, 2007. Chub Frank of Bear Lake, Pa., claimed the victory that night, earning the first of his six WoO LMS A-Main victories that season on his way to a career-best runner-up finish in the series championship chase.
Frank and the WoO LMS regulars will face a much different I-96 Speedway this time around after the track underwent a major reconfiguration following the 2013 season. The process replaced the facility’s longtime half-mile layout – which the 2007 WoO LMS event was run on – and a smaller inner track built several years ago with a brand new 3/8-mile oval.
