One of the top talents to come out of the Carolinas in recent years, Zack Mitchell introduced himself to the Super Late Model scene with his first Carolina Clash Series victory in 2013 at age 17. Four years later, he became a champion of the tour in 2017 with four wins in 15 races.

Mitchell turned his focus to the Ultimate Super Late Model Series, where he's a four-time champion with 17 wins to his credit. While racking up wins at the regional level, Mitchell began to expand his footprint with scattered starts at the national level. Along the way, Mitchell picked up the biggest win of his career against the World of Outlaws at Volunteer Speedway in 2020.

Following Drake Troutman's departure from G.R. Smith Motorsports in June 2026, Mitchell was named the new driver of the No. 22*, giving him the chance to tour full-time with the World of Outlaws for the first time in his career.
