Walker began his racing career in go-karts at the age of 6, eventually moving up to quarter midgets and mini sprints. He began racing dirt late models in 1999, and has since competed in the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA), the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series.
Throughout his career, Walker has accumulated several victories and top-five finishes in various late model series, including multiple wins in the MLRA. In 2011, he won the MLRA championship, earning him his first major title.
In the 2024 season, Walker returns to the World of Outlaws Late Model Series for the second year, with his daughter Lacey by his side as his crew chief. He hopes to add more wins and top finishes to his impressive racing resume.
