Ashton Torgerson, one of Sprint Car racing's most promising young talents, heads to the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series in 2026.

The Glendale, AZ driver joined forces with Shark Racing early in 2025 and showed speed right away. The pairing picked up a win on their second night together, besting the PA Posse at BAPS Motor Speedway. They continued to click throughout the year running a pick-and-choose schedule with several more strong outings including a top 10 at the Kings Royal.

As 2025 neared its conclusion, Torgerson and the team decided a full-time run with The Greatest Show on Dirt in 2026 was the route to go.

The Shark team opted to park the No. 1A in early May, leaving Torgerson searching for a ride. He quickly found his solution with Three Stooges Racing as his quest for Rookie of the Year continues.

Previous racing experience: Torgerson is a former standout of the Micro ranks. He took home a Golden Driller from the 2023 Tulsa Shootout in the Winged A Class division. That success helped propel him to a full-time Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series campaign in 2024 with Keith Kunz Motorsports. He topped a trio of races and finished fourth in points. Torgerson even has experience behind the wheel of Monster Trucks.
