3/10/2017 – The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

LAS VEGAS – March 10, 2017–In an instant-classic, Donny Schatz battled the podium Friday night to win the FVP Outlaw Showdown finale at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Rico Abreu, who led the race late, made contact with the turn four wall in the closing laps. His mistake gave way for Schatz to secure the lead. Logan Schuchart, who led the field into the green flag, rounded-out the podium for his best finish at the track.

3/9/2017 – The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

LAS VEGAS – March 9, 2017 – Donny Schatz won by a narrow margin Thursday night. beating Brian Brown by a 0.046-margin to win the first night of the FVP Outlaw Showdown at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Schatz used a series a stoppages to rise to the top, but the final red flag that caused a green-white-checkered finish gave Brown his chance to knock-off the champion. Brown was not able to catch Schatz, and soon he found himself in a battle with series regular Jason Johnson. Though Brown lost his spot to Johnson, he quickly reclaimed it to finish second.Johnson rounded-out the podium for the fourth time in five races.

3/3/2017 – LoneStar Speedway

KILGORE, Tex.  March 3, 2017 Donny Schatz swept the East Texas Lone Star Shootout Friday night at LoneStar Speedway, leading all 35 laps. Rookie of the Year contender Sheldon Haudenschild, who captured his first podium finish as a full-timer in World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series, competed alongside Schatz early-on to finish third. Jason Johnson, who already has a win under his belt in 2017, was within one-second of Schatz and ultimately finishing second.

2/19/2017 – DIRTcar Nationals Finale

 

BARBERVILLE, Fla. – February 19, 2017 – Donny Schatz etched his name into DIRTcar Nationals history Sunday, winning both the afternoon and night show at Volusia Speedway Park. Schatz became the first Outlaw since Jeff Swindell and Sammy Swindell to win multiple series races in one day, which was last accomplished in 1999. David Gravel took home the “Big Gator,” having the most consistent performance of the three-day series event despite engine trouble throughout the stretch.

2/19/2017 – DIRTcar Nationals

BARBERVILLE, Fla. – February 19, 2017 –Donny Schatz wins a World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series race at DIRTcar Nationals for the fourth consecutive year. After fending off Chad Kemenah – who led the 26-car feature into the green flag – Schatz nearly opened-up a two second lead. Jason Johnson, who won the previous show, caught up to Kemenah and took second place in the closing laps.

BARBERVILLE, Fla. – Feb. 17, 2017 – Jason Johnson collects his first win of the season Friday night, beating fellow series regular Brad Sweet by a 3.553-second margin. Sweet and Brian Brown battled nearly the entire 30 laps, until quick-timer Cristopher Bell made a last-minute moved to knock Brown off the podium.

10/29/16 The Dirt Track at Charlotte

CONCORD, N.C. — Oct. 29, 2016 — Donny Schatz tossed his VP Racing Fuels checkered flag into the stands Saturday night, capping off a successful season with a victory at the prestigious Bad Boy Off Road World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte. The win marks his 25th of the season, a mark that greatly contributed to Schatz’s eighth series championship.

10/28/16 The Dirt Track at Charlotte

CONCORD, N.C. – October 28, 2016 – Jason Johnson battled a stout field Friday night, winning the first night of racing for the Bad Boy Off Road World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte. Johnson, who started fourth in the 30-lap feature, made his moves in the second half of the race for first, ultimately taking his fourth trip down victory lane in 2016.
