SUN PRAIRIE, Wisc. — Aug 21, 2016 — Donny Schatz and Daryn Pittman battled it out for the lead at the World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series debut visit to Angell Park Speedway. Ultimately, it was Schatz who broke away from Pittman and claimed his 18th World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series victory of the season, along with a new track record.

MINOT, N.D. — August 18, 2016 — The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series is set for its 11th appearance at Nodak Speedway in Minot, North Dakota in 2016, as the Gerdau Magic City Showdown presented by Gerdau, Schatz Crossroads, Minot Tourism and Fastlane Carwash-Minot hits the track on Sunday, August 28. The series is in the midst of a very competitive season, with 16 drivers having picked up wins thus far in 2016.

In the First Leg of the Gerdau Northern Tour back in June, Donny Schatz was victorious at the high-banked bullring for the third-straight time, which marked his sixth overall win with the series at the track in his home state.

The Sun Prairie Sprint Car Classic will feature the Outlaws, plus the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association (IRA) at the third-mile bullring. The Badger Midget Auto Racing Association will also be in action. Every World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series full-time driver, other than Brad Sweet, will be visiting the track for the first time. This edition of Quick Hits, sets the state for the Sun Prairie Sprint Car Classic at Angell Park Speedway on Sunday, August 21.

MCCOOL JUNCTION, Neb. — Aug. 16, 2016 — Entering the World of Outlaws Craftsman® Sprint Car Series event at Junction Motor Speedway on Tuesday night, Donny Schatz had never finished off the podium in five career starts at the 3/8-mile. The seven-time and defending series champion extended that streak, while adding to his win total at the track, as he dominated the 30-lap main event.

MCCOOL JUNCTION, Neb. — Aug 16, 2016 — With Joey Saldana on the pole, Donny Schatz took the lead during the first lap of the Junction Motor Speedway Feature and carried it all the way through the 30 laps for his seventeeth win of the season. While David Gravel and Brad Sweet pushed on him, threatening to make it a three-way race to the finish, they trailed behind for their respective podium spots.

KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Aug. 13, 2016 — The 56th running of the 5-Hour Energy Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s General Store culminated Saturday night with the grandstands on their feet as the Ragin’ Cajun took home the win in one of the most exciting Knoxville Nationals in recent history, depriving fellow-Outlaw Donny Schatz of his tenth Nationals win.
With fireworks ablaze behind him, Jason Johnson stood on the back of his Priority Aviation #41 Maxim pounding his fists in the air as he celebrated his first-ever Nationals win and claimed the $150,000 prize.
