TRI STATE TUSSLE: McMahan and CJB Close in on Second in Points

TELFORD, PA. – September 24, 2014 – With only nine races remaining, the pressure to preform is higher than it has been all season.

“You really begin to feel the season wind down once we get back from the second west coast trip,” said McMahan, who sits 76 points behind Daryn Pittman for second in the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series points standings. “It’s a long season but the end of it kind of sneaks up on you. Before you know it, it’s almost over and you’re still gunning to get some wins and possibly try a few things for the following year.”

The #51 Bairs Tree Service/Nyce Crete & Landis Block & Concrete/All Star Performance machine continued on as it took to the wide and fast surface of Terre Haute (Ind.) Action Track on Wednesday, September 17th. It marked the first time since 2006 that the ‘Greatest Show on Dirt,’ had visited the track.

First Win of the Season Gives Kraig Kinser Momentum Heading into Four-Race Stretch

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — September 14, 2014 — Fresh off his first win of the season at Clay County Fair Speedway on September 12, Kraig Kinser returns to his home state of Indiana this week for a busy stretch of four races that will see the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series race twice on Hoosier soil, along with stops in Ohio and Pennsylvania. For Kinser, the victory came after several strong runs had been thwarted by bad luck over the last few weeks.

“It’s definitely a bit of a relief to get that first win of the year,” said Kinser. “Hopefully we can get another before the year is over. It is so tough out here right now that you have to have a perfect night and a fast car along with some luck, which we had both at Spencer (Clay County Fair Speedway) and were able to capitalize on it.”
