Schatz will look to add to his series-leading win total of 12 starting with Thursday night’s Clash at the Creek at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minnesota before he returns to South Dakota Saturday with an eye on making it two for two in World of Outlaws action at the Dakota State Fair Speedway in Huron.

TRAVELING NORTH: Coming off of a solid third place finish at Eagle (Neb.) Raceway on Tuesday, Larson Marks Racing travels to North Dakota for two nights of racing. On Friday, the team will compete at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks and follow that up with Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo on Saturday.

NORTHERN TOUR: Shane Stewart and the Larson Marks team will be competing at River Cities Speedway this Friday. Stewart has a trio of top-10 finishes at the high-banked, 3/10-mile circuit, with his best finish being a third-place score that came in 2015.

Two Top-10 Finishes Highlight Knoxville Double-header for Larson Marks Racing

MOORESVILLE, NC — (JUNE 12, 2017) — The Larson Marks Racing team wrapped up the World of Outlaws double-header at Knoxville Raceway this weekend with a pair of solid top-10 finishes. Friday night, Shane Stewart earned a fourth-place finish and followed it up with a sixth-place effort on Saturday.

Stewart opened the weekend with a fourth-place qualifying effort in Flight A of time trials on Friday and won his heat race from the outside of the front row. The four pill was drawn for the Craftsman Club Dash inversion, putting the LMR No. 2 on the outside of the front row. On the start of the six-lap dash, Stewart slipped back and finished fifth, to earn an inside row three starting spot for the main event. He was able to climb one spot in the 25-lap main event to tally a fourth-place finish.

Schatz charged from 15th to fourth in Wednesday’s Gettysburg Clash at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottsown before racing from fifth to second in Friday night’s opener at Williams Grove Speedway in Medhanicsburg. The weekend concluded with a 14th-place finish in the Morgan Cup at Williams Grove Saturday evening and a rainout halfway through Sunday’s Empire State Challenge event at Weedsport (N.Y.) Speedway.

Sides qualified well each night and he made all three main events. Unfortunately, his feature finishes didn’t end as well.

“We just didn’t capitalize,” he said. “The goal was to get in the show and of course when you’re starting mid-pack you want to at least stay there if I’m being realistic.”
