Bad Boy/Chevrolet Performance Team Chasing Texas Outlaw Nationals Double

Bad Boy/Chevrolet Performance Team Chasing Texas Outlaw Nationals Double

INDIANAPOLIS (April 20, 2016) – One of the most important lessons Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing’s (TSR) Donny Schatz learned during his rookie season with the World of Outlaws (WoO) Craftsman Sprint Car Series in 1997 was respecting the opportunity to race in a series founded by the ultimate Sprint car fan, the late Ted Johnson. In this, his 20th season of competing with “The Greatest Show on Dirt,” Schatz continues to appreciate his opportunity to compete as an Outlaw at dirt tracks all across the country and have the chance to build his legacy in the sport.

Schatz, the seven-time and reigning WoO champion, leads the Outlaws to Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, the site of their inaugural race back in March 1978, as the defending champion of the Ted Johnson Memorial. The driver of the TSR No. 15 Bad Boy/Chevrolet Performance J&J enters the two-night Texas Outlaw Nationals tied for the lead in WoO A-Feature victories this season with five and is looking to make it three consecutive seasons with wins at Devil’s Bowl.

With three victories in the first six races of the California swing behind the wheel of the TSR No. 15 Bad Boy/Chevrolet Performance J&J, Schatz was looking to equal his win total of four during the 2015 early season run through the Golden State. Donny Schatz Bad Boy/Chevrolet Performance Team Seeking Strong California Finish

Donny Schatz Bad Boy/Chevrolet Performance Team Seeking Strong California Finish

INDIANAPOLIS (April 13, 2016) – The nomadic nine-month journey to claim a World of Outlaws (WoO) Craftsman Sprint Car Series championship is filled with a number of challenging chapters. For the 20th season, Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing’s (TSR) Donny Schatz is embarking on the quest of crisscrossing the United States, and the driver of the TSR No. 15 Bad Boy/Chevrolet Performance J&J is looking to close one of the more challenging parts of the early season on a high note.

Schatz’s next-to-last stop during the Outlaws’ annual spring tour of California takes him to Bakersfield Speedway Friday for the first time since 2005, and the 11-race Golden State tour concludes with the series’ annual stop in Southern California at Perris Auto Speedway Saturday night. The Bad Boy/Chevrolet Performance team made up of Schatz and crewmen Rick Warner, Steve Swenson and Brad Mariscotti knows that making its way through the dirt track battles on dirt ovals ranging in size from quarter-miles to 3/8-miles to half-miles, where oftentimes the surfaces get faster as the night goes on, test even the strongest of teams. With only two races remaining, the team has already matched its win total of four during last year’s early California tour that ultimately led to a career-best 31 WoO A-Feature wins for Schatz and a seventh WoO title by season’s end.
