USAC? World of Outlaws? Doesn’t Matter Because Eldora Speedway Says #LetsRaceTwo!
Friday & Saturday Features Sprint Cars From Both Series Racing on the Same Night; Tickets Just $28; Kids 12 and Under Free!

ROSSBURG, Ohio (May 3, 2016) – In late 2014, Eldora Speedway officials came up with an idea so odd, people thought the staff was nuts.

For the first time in automobile racing history, two sanctioning bodies who battled each other for years would race on the same night and the same track. And they would do it for two straight days.

The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car series and the national sprint cars from the United States Auto Club (USAC) put on quite a show in 2015 and now will return on this Friday and Saturday to showcase their national winged and non-winged sprint car tours on the same track on the same nights.

Larson Marks Looks to Keep Momentum Going at Salina and Pevely

MIDWEST INVASION: Shane Stewart and his No. 2 Larson Marks Racing team will continue their Midwest run Friday night at Salina (Okla.) Highbanks Speedway and Saturday at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55.

RETURNING WINNER: In 2015, Larson Marks Racing earned wins at both Salina (Okla.) Highbanks Speedway and Federated Auto Parts Speedway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo. Despite growing up in nearby Bixby, Okla., it was Stewart’s first win at Salina, the .375-mile track an hour from his home town. The 39-year-old finished seventh in the spring race at I-55 and followed that up with a runner-up finish and a win at the Ironman, the series’ longest race of the season.

Donny Schatz, Bad Boy/Chevrolet Performance Team Headed to the High Banks in Oklahoma, Missouri

INDIANAPOLIS (April 28, 2016) – Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing’s (TSR) Donny Schatz and his Bad Boy/Chevrolet Performance team take on a pair of high-banked, dirt ovals this weekend as the World of Outlaws (WoO) Craftsman Sprint Car Series makes its way into the Midwest for the first time in 2016. The seven-time and reigning WoO champion continues his 20th season of competing with the Outlaws Friday night at the Salina (Okla.) Highbanks and Saturday at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri.

Schatz and his TSR team are in the midst of a five-race run through Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri and the driver of the TSR No. 15 Bad Boy/Chevrolet Performance J&J is looking to become the first driver in 2016 to win six A-Features. Beginning with his most recent win April 2, when he charged from 14th to victory in the Mini Gold Cup at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California, Schatz has finished inside the top-five in six of seven races and has been the KSE Hard Charger in three of those main events.

If he can find his way to victory lane Friday night, Salina Highbanks will become the 76th different track where Schatz has scored an A-Feature triumph. The Fargo, North Dakota racer has earned 209 career WoO A-Feature wins and is hoping No. 210 comes in his fifth-ever visit to the 3/8-mile, dirt oval located in northeast Oklahoma. His best result at the facility came in his debut back in April 2011. Schatz started 18th and charged his way to second in the 30-lap A-Feature. He earned the pole in 2014 but had a flat right-rear tire early in the race before charging back to finish ninth. He finished 10th last April.

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (April 25, 2016) – An emotional Shane Stewart captured the teams second win of the season Saturday night at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas. The half-mile oval is somewhat of a home track for Stewart who grew up in nearby Bixby, Okla.

The Larson Marks Racing team qualified eighth on Friday night and finished third in the second heat race. After starting eighth in the feature event, Stewart was able to climb two positions to earn a sixth-place finish.

During the finale on Saturday night, Stewart qualified ninth quickest and lined up to start third in the final heat race. Inside Line Promotions – MESQUITE, Texas (April 25, 2016) – Jason Sides capped the Texas Outlaw Nationals with a top-10 result on Saturday at Devil’s Bowl Speedway.

It was a great end to a solid doubleheader for Sides, who has four top-10 finishes in his last six World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series races.

“It wasn’t too bad of a weekend,” he said. “For all the rain they had the race track was in pretty good shape.”
