2018 LMS Chub Frank Retired

CONCORD, NC – May 8, 2018– After more than 14 consecutive seasons together, Chub Frank has officially retired from competition with the World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series. Frank has entered every World of Outlaws event since the Series rekindled in 2004 (except for two races due to an injury).

Over the years, Frank has collected 16 World of Outlaws wins, with his first win being on April 23, 2004 in his home state of Pennsylvania at Lernerville Speedway, and his last win being at K-C Raceway (now Atomic Speedway) in Ohio on August 22, 2009. Frank currently sits 10th on the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series All-Time Wins list.

Chris Madden Scores Second Win of 2018 at Senoia

SENOIA, GA– May 5, 2018– Chris Madden wheeled his way to victory at Senoia Raceway for the 4th annual Billy Clanton Classic. The Gray Court, SC driver collected his second World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series win of the season.

Outlaws Invade Fayetteville Motor Speedway for 2-Day First in Flight 100

CONCORD, NC — May 5, 2018 — (from May 1 Fayetteville Motor Speedway release) Fayetteville Motor Speedway, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2018, will host the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series, celebrating its 30th in 2018, on May 11-12th for the biggest Super Late Model event in the state of North Carolina. The First in Flight 100, presented by Hoker Trucking in memory of Carlton Lamm will pay a whopping $25,001 to Win and $2,000 to start. In addition to the mega-Feature, a Non-Qualifiers Race for drivers that don’t transfer into the main event will pay $2,000 to win and $300 to start. As an added bonus for drivers and fans on Friday night, May 11, the drivers that make it to the redraw out of each heat race will run a special Big C Dash For Cash, paying $500 to win, that will determine the top starting positions for Saturday’s 100-Lap $25,001-to-win Feature presented by Hoker Trucking.

Sheppard Books Third Win

LAVONIA, GA– May 3, 2018– Brandon Sheppard led flag-to-flag in front of a packed house at Lavonia Speedway to claim his third World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series feature win of the 2018 season.

The New Berlin, Ill. driver entered the event at Lavonia 40-points behind Chris Madden in the Series point standings. Unfortunately for Madden, on the half-way mark of the feature he suffered from a broken rear end which took him out of the remainder of the race. Sheppard and Madden are now tied for first in the point standings with 986 points.
