Motter Team Looking to Gain More Consistency

BROCKVILLE, Ontario (July 29, 2015) – With the crown jewel of the World of Outlaws series, the Knoxville Nationals, fast approaching, Joey Saldana and the Motter Equipment HE&M Saw Beltline Body Shop team are diligently working to perfect different track set-ups.

There are two races this weekend in Canada that will give the team that opportunity. Friday, July 31, the World of Outlaws will compete at Brockville Ontario Speedway for the second time. The competed at Brockville in 2011 and now, after a three-year sabbatical, they return.

Saturday night it’s on to the 4/10-mile Autodrome Drummond in Quebec where Saldana scored a 2012 victory.

Saldana Had His Hands Full on A Slick Track in Ohsweken, Ontario

OHSWEKEN, Ontario (July 28, 2015) – Tonight was the first of three events in this World of Outlaws swing through the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec. The first stop was The Six Nations Showdown at Ohsweken Speedway in Ontario, a high-banked 3/8-mile dirt track.

Joey Saldana, who finished second at this track in 2010, was 29^th out of 30 competitors in the order for time trials. The challenge with being late in the qualifying order is usually deteriorating track conditions. Tonight was no exception, but Saldana was able to push the Motter Equipment HE&M Saw Beltline Body Shop 71M to a best lap of 14.954-seconds, No. 17 in the qualifying order.

World of Outlaws Invade Autodrome Drummond on August 1

DRUMMONDVILLE, Quebec – July 27, 2015 – Since the 2010 season, the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series has visited Autodrome Drummond in Quebec each and every year. In that time, five different drivers have been victorious at the quarter-mile oval. The sixth annual race for the World of Outlaws at the track will take place this year on Saturday, August 1.

Donny Schatz, the current series point leader, who has won already won 21 races in 2015, picked up his first win at Autodrome Drummond in 2014. The six-time and defending series champion, who drives for Tony Stewart Racing, started fifth and steadily worked his way forward, eventually taking the lead from Kerry Madsen on the 27 lap of the 35-lap event. Schatz tops the leaderboard in nearly every statistical category this season with the World of Outlaws as he chases his seventh series title.

Madsen, who is currently third in points, led nine laps at Autodrome Drummond last year en route to a second-place finish. The Australian took the lead from Cody Darrah on lap-18 and was out front until Schatz got around him on the 27^th circuit. Madsen, who was fastest in time trials at Autodrome Drummond last year, has been one of the most consistent drivers this season and is in search of his first win of the year.

World of Outlaws Return to Brockville Ontario Speedway on July 31

BROCKVILLE, Ontario – July 28, 2015 – The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series returns to Brockville Ontario Speedway for the first time since 2011 on Friday, July 31 for the Haulmark World of Outlaws Sprint Weekend. The event will mark the second of five scheduled races in Canada for the series in 2015 and is part of the second East Coast Swing of the season.

In the World of Outlaws inaugural event at Brockville Ontario Speedway in 2011, Paul McMahan was victorious. The veteran driver started fourth in the 35-lap event and took the lead from Craig Dollansky on the lap-32 en route to winning for the first time on Canadian soil.

For most of the race, Hall of Famer and three-time series champion Sammy Swindell was out front, before suffering a flat tire, which handed the lead to Dollansky. While in front, Dollansky sustained front wing damage that hampered the handling on his car in the late going.

Sides Nets Two Top 10s During Busy Week in the Northeast

Inside Line Promotions – WEST LEBANON, N.Y. (July 27, 2015) – Jason Sides bookended a busy weekend in the Northeast with a pair of top 10s.

Sides kicked off the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup last Tuesday by qualifying 13^th quickest in his group before he placed sixth in a heat race and second in a Last Chance Showdown at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa. That locked him into the 22^nd starting position for the first of twin main events at the high-banked track.

“We had a good balance on the car and I was able to maneuver around like I needed starting that far back,” he said. “Any time you can pass that many cars and get a top 10 it’s a good night.”

Podium Finish for Saldana at Lebanon Valley

WEST LEBANON, N.Y. (July 26, 2015) – Following the conclusion of last night’s Summer Nationals at Williams Grove, the Motter Equipment HE&M Saw Beltline Body Shop team hit the road for the long drive to Lebanon Valley Speedway for tonight’s World of Outlaws event.

Tonight’s show was underway as scheduled and hot laps were complete. As qualifying was set to begin, a pop up shower caused a delay. After the track was prepped and groomed following the rain, the drivers got another round of warm ups prior to the start of qualifying.

Saldana, consistently quick in time trials, was the No. 2 qualifier with a 16.191-second lap.

Saldana Fifth in Final Night of Summer Nationals

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (July 25, 2015) –The final night of Summer Nationals competition at Williams Grove Raceway played to a full house of fans that came out to watch the Pennsylvania Posse and World of Outlaws drivers battle for tonight’s $20,000 jackpot and bragging rights.

With 39 cars on the grounds as there were last night, the two-flight qualifying format was in play. Saldana sat atop the second flight of qualifying, setting quick time in that flight, and second fastest overall, with a 16.831-second lap in the Motter Equipment HE&M Saw Beltline Body Shop 71M.

Saldana Finishes Fifth Friday Night of the Summer Nationals at Williams Grove

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (July 24, 2015) – Summer Nationals competition at the famed Williams Grove half-mile kicked off tonight with 39 drivers vying for Friday night honors in the highly-anticipated Pennsylvania Posse vs. World of Outlaws face off.

With two-flight qualifying rules in effect, Joey Saldana piloted the Motter Equipment HE&M Saw Beltline Body Shop 71M to the No. 2 spot in the first flight with a best lap of 16.873 seconds.

Saldana rolled off fourth in the second heat and was fifth at the end of lap one. He maintained that position to the checkered flag and transferred to the dash and the A Main.
