INDIANAPOLIS (March 9, 2011) – California has long been the destination for those seeking fortune and fame. This weekend, the Golden State welcomes two of the most decorated racers in short-track history. Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Steve Kinser and Donny Schatz will lead the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series into battle as they embark on a month-long tour of California, beginning with Saturday night’s Mini Gold Cup at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. The quarter-mile dirt track has been a gold mine over the years for Kinser, who has won 22 WoO races at the track, and Schatz, who was triumphant last September during the annual Gold Cup festivities. Both drivers are looking to build on their performances in last week’s Las Vegas World of Outlaws Nationals presented by J.D. Byrider.

In the middle of the Mojave Desert is not where you would expect to find the Entertainment Capitol of the World, but that is part of the mystique that is Las Vegas. In a city where the sun shines on average 300 days a years, Jason Meyers and his Elite Racing team were hoping that the sun would shine on them and bring them some luck this week. After two races at the Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Meyers came within 0.389 of a second of first victory of the season.
INDIANAPOLIS (March 1, 2011) – When people think of Las Vegas, a number of things come to mind. Entertainment. Luck. Winning. And sometimes that catchy saying, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” For Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Steve Kinser and Donny Schatz, this week’s Las Vegas World of Outlaws (WoO) Nationals presented by J.D. Byrider will offer each a pair of opportunities to put on a show, have some good luck and, ultimately, win. If either or both of the two former champions, who share the top spot with six career WoO wins at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, can come out victorious for the seventh time, they’ll certainly be happy to let everyone know what happened in Vegas on Wednesday and Thursday night.
Racecar drivers are the ones that are usually making the calls. They have the control to pilot their high powered racing machines each time they set a tire on the track. On Tuesday, though Jason Meyers is going to be stepping out of the driver’s seat and getting in the back seat. The World of Outlaws Champion is also going to be trading in his driver’s uniform and will be preparing for the flight of a lifetime—with the Blue Angels.

For Kraig Kinser and Parsons Motorsports, the team continued to make strides this past weekend using a solid 10th-place finish at Royal Purple Royal to gain momentum as the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series heads west for seven races at six different tracks over the next five weeks.
