Tony Stewart Racing Teams Set To ‘Duel’ in North Dakota

INDIANAPOLIS (June 15, 2011) – A midsummer stop in North Dakota by the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series teams has been as common as victory parades following championship celebrations. During the last 30 years, the traveling dirt-track stars have spent at least one weekend competing in the Roughrider State. For Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Donny Schatz, the annual stop in his home state is a reminder of his childhood days when one weekend each summer he would travel to Fargo to see his current TSR teammate Steve Kinser battle his childhood idol Doug Wolfgang and the rest of the Outlaws. Kinser has been involved in many North Dakota celebrations during his illustrious career and, in recent years, Schatz has participated in his share, as well. The TSR duo will look to celebrate again this weekend as it competes in the annual Duel in the Dakotas on Friday and Saturday nights at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks.

Kraig Kinser Scores Top-10

Granger, IA—June 12, 2011—Knoxville Raceway has been pretty good to Kraig Kinser over the years. In 2005, he won at the track for the first time and later that same season he made history winning the Knoxville Nationals, to make he and his father Steve, the first father/son duo to ever win Sprint Car Racing’s biggest event. The famed track continued to smile on the third generation driver this past weekend as he made his first start at the legendary half-mile aboard the Casey’s General Store Maxim for the Parsons Motorsports team, based less than an hour away in Granger, Iowa. Kinser picked up a solid ninth-place finish in the 25-lap main event of the Mediacom Shootout on Saturday, June 11.
