CONCORD, N.C. — Sept. 12, 2011 — Kyle Larson and Paul McMahan, both who have roots in Elk Grove, Calif., swept the 58th annual Gold Cup Race of Champions weekend. On the first night, it was series regular McMahan taking the checkers to grab his fourth win of the 2011 campaign with Jason Meyers and Shane Golobic rounding out the top-3. The following night, 19-year-old Larson dominated to capture the first World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series victory of his career in one of the series biggest events. Calif. native leads all forty laps at Silver Dollar Speedway; Sides finishes second

CHICO, Calif. — Sept. 10, 2011 — Kyle Larson fulfilled a dream at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Calif. The 19 year old Elk Grove, Calif. native continued an impressive season as he picked up his very first World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series win in one of the season’s biggest races, the Gold Cup Race of Champions. McMahan Opens Gold Cup Race of Champions Weekend with Victory

California native leads a sweep of top three spots with Meyers finishing second

CHICO, Calif. — Sept. 9, 2011 — Paul McMahan had lady luck on his side as he picked up his fourth victory of the 2011 season at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Calif. With a challenging racing surface, the Elk Grove, Calif. native made the best of his pole position starting spot to lead all 25 laps. The starting spot was by virtue of his win in the night’s dash. McMahan started the dash thanks to a drawing of six, which placed him on the front row.

CHICO, Calif. — SEPTEMBER 8, 2011 — For over half a century, Sprint Cars have converged in the Golden State of California to go wheel to wheel for pride, glory and a big pay day. On September 9th and 10th, Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Calif. will play host to the 58th annual Gold Cup Race of Champions. The event, which typically is considered one of the crown jewel events in Sprint Car racing, will mark the second time in 2011 that the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series has visited the quarter mile bull ring and is a pivotal race in the final stretches of the season. Tony Stewart Racing Teams Continue Consistency in Great Northwest

The World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series continued its annual Gold Rush Tour with three nights of racing in Washington and Oregon during the Labor Day weekend. Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Steve Kinser maintained his surge following the Knoxville Nationals by earning three top-three finishes while his TSR teammate Donny Schatz finished the weekend with a pair of top-fives. The TSR tandem raced at Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wash., on Friday and Saturday and then on Monday evening made its yearly stop at Cottage Grove (Ore.) Speedway.
