Madsen Takes Top Honors at Belleville High Banks
The Australian wins his second World of Outlaws feature in the last six races
BELLEVILLE, Kan. — June 29, 2012 — Kerry Madsen was as patient as anyone during the nearly 90-minute delay for track work prior to Friday’s feature.
Once he hit the track, it was a different story. Madsen picked up his second World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series victory in the past six races to cap a blistering day that featured temperatures in the triple digits at Belleville High Banks.
“That was well worth the wait,” he said with a big smile. “The track was awesome, wide open around the cushion.”
KANSAS CITY, Kan. — June 30, 2012 — Sammy Swindell rocketed by leader Kraig Kinser on a restart early and then held on amid lightning at Lakeside Speedway.
Kinser maintained a close second the rest of the race, but was unable to record the victory. It would have been his fourth in the last nine Outlaws races.
Instead, Swindell added to his series-best six victories as a storm hit shortly after the checkered flag. (CLICK FOR FULL RACE REPORT)
Beaver Dam Hosts World of Outlaws on Saturday, July 7
‘The King’ Steve Kinser is one of five drivers with multiple wins at the track
BEAVER DAM, Wis. — June 29, 2012 — Beaver Dam Raceway is known as a small track with a lot of action.
The high-banked, third-mile oval hosts the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on Saturday, July 7, for the Jim (JB) Boyd Memorial.
“Beaver Dam is a fairly short track, but it’s still got a little size to it,” Steve Kinser said. “It’s usually a pretty exciting race. It’s a place where I’ve ran really bad and a place where I’ve ran really good. You just hope it’s your night when you get there.”
(Bill W) June 29, 2012 – Kerry Madsen is gearing up for the month of money. After two top ten finishes in Dodge City last weekend, he has gained a spot in the World of Outlaws standings up to eighth. Tonight the WoO tackles the 5/8-mile high banks in Belleville, Kansas before heading to Kansas City and the Lakeside Speedway tomorrow night.

BELLEVILLE, Kan. — June 29, 2012 — Kerry Madsen capitalized on a miscue by polesitter Sammy Swindell, who jumped a restart with 10 laps remaining, to capture his second feature of the season and first career at Belleville High Banks.

INDIANAPOLIS (June 28, 2012) – Through the first five months of the 2012 World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series season, the nightly results have been anything but predictable. Foreseeing Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Steve Kinser and Donny Schatz at or near the top of the championship standings wouldn’t have been a huge gamble and, so far, each has spent time holding down the top position. Kinser and Schatz will continue his battle for Outlaw supremacy this weekend through middle America with stops at the Belleville (Kan.) High Banks and Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan.
Bloomington, Ind. — June 27, 2012 — Three wins in the last seven World of Outlaws races. Ten Top-10 finishes in his last 12 starts. And 78 laps led in A-Feature events. Those are Kraig Kinser’s stats over the last month. The third-generation driver looks to build on these numbers this weekend as he takes to a pair of vastly different half-mile in the state of Kansas.
