Sides Scores Four Top 10s During DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park

Inside Line Promotions – BARBERVILLE, Fla. (Feb. 18, 2015) – Jason Sides has been rejuvenated following a stellar opening to the season during the DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park last weekend.

Sides earned a top-10 finish in four of the five races at the fastest half-mile dirt track.

“It could always be better, but after last year to have four pretty good runs like we did was good,” he said. “I don’t even know if we had four top 10s last year overall. That was a really good to start the season.”

ROLLER COASTER: McMahan Ends DIRTcar Nats on High Note

TELFORD, PA. – February 18, 2015 – The frustration on Paul McMahan’s face said more than his words could on the frontsretch of Volusia Speedway Park. The Nashville, Tenn. native had just capped off a week of ups and downs with a second place finish on the final night of a five-race stretch.

“These guys bust their tails each night and I let them down on the final night,” said McMahan, who qualified in the top-5 four of the five nights. “After the week we’ve had, I should’ve been happy with a runner up but not when we had a great car and led 20 laps. We had a great battle with Brad (Sweet) at the end. Just came up short.”

Schatz Scores Valentine’s Day Victory

Donny Schatz opened his 19th season of competition with the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series in familiar style this past weekend at the DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. The driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing (TSR) No. 15 Bad Boy Buggies J&J finished second in Friday’s opener, earned his first triumph of the season in dominating fashion Saturday and after starting deep in the field charged to a tenth-place finish in Sunday’s finale.

Twenty-time WoO champion Steve Kinser will run a limited campaign in 2015 for TSR and competed in the opening five All-Star Circuit of Champions (ASCoC) events and all three WoO races behind the wheel of the TSR No. 11 Bad Boy Buggies J&J. Kinser’s best result came in Saturday’s Outlaw program where he won the dash to earn the pole position and finished third in the 30-lap A-Feature.

McMahan & CJB Kick Off Title Chase in Florida

Ready to Get 2015 Season Underway in Florida

Huge weekend racing coming to Calistoga Speedway April 11 & 12

World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series invades the Stockton Dirt Track for the first ever double-header weekend in the FVP Western Spring Shootout March 21 & 22

Stockton, CA – February 3, 2015…The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series is set to tackle the Stockton Dirt Track on Saturday & Sunday March 21 & 22 with a full weekend of excitement & fun on tap at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds.

The FVP Western Spring Shootout will be the third straight year that the Greatest Show on Dirt has competed at the track, but the first on back-to-back nights. Thunderbowl Raceway kicks off 2015 season with first ever World of Outlaws & King of the West 410 Sprint Car

Tulare, CA – February 2, 2015…It’s become an annual tradition to open the season at Merle Stone Chevrolet Thunderbowl Raceway with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series invading the one-third mile clay oval. This year’s version of the weekend however, adds even more excitement, as the King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series will co-sanction each night with the “Greatest Show on Dirt” on Friday & Saturday March 13 & 14.

This coming season is the 12th overall year that Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway will host the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. The inaugural event occurred in September of 2003 when 20-time series champion Steve Kinser of Bloomington, Indiana scored the victory over Aliquippa, Pennsylvania’s Tim Shaffer and local favorite Jason Meyers from Clovis, CA. In five of the past six years there has been at least one California native who has tasted victory with the World of Outlaws in Tulare.

The veteran 51-year-old racer from Mooresburg, Tenn., mastered the half-mile oval’s tricky clay surface during Wednesday’s DIRTcar Nationals A-Main, leading all 40 laps of the caution-free race for a $10,000 DIRTcar Late Model victory.
