Cornwall Rained Out

2013 WoOSTP PH 650x329

Heavy rain knocks out Sunday’s event at Cornwall Motor Speedway

World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars back in action Tuesday at Ohsweken Speedway

CORNWALL, Ontario – July 28, 2013 – Rain has forced the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series, in conjunction with Cornwall Motor Speedway and SLS officials, to cancel Sunday’s scheduled event. A strong shower drenched the track at 2:10 p.m. and left it in a condition that would not allow it to be prepped for racing action.

The event will not be rescheduled. For information on refunds contact your point of sale. Tickets purchased through the track can be mailed to the track, and your refund will be issued back through mail in check form.

Daryn Pittman and Donny Schatz remain in a tight championship battle atop the standings. Pittman has held the lead from the onset of the season while Schatz continues to slowly chip away, dwindling it down to just 85 points after Saturday night’s event at Autodrome Drummond.
