OCALA, FL – Feb. 16, 2014 – Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky., ended the Bubba Army Dirt Late Model Winter Nationals on a high note, breaking through to capture Sunday night’s 60-lap World of Outlaws Late Model Series ‘Super Sunday Showdown’ at Bubba Raceway Park.

Finding the winning touch with his self-designed Club 29 car after top-five finishes in each of the first two events of the weekend, Lanigan passed Don O’Neal of Martinsville, Ind., for the lead on lap seven and controlled the remainder of the distance. The two-time WoO LMS champion turned back a late challenge from O’Neal while racing through lapped traffic to pocket the race’s $12,650 top prize.

With the pressure of points racing removed after clinching his third career WoO LMS title the previous night, Richards calmly roared off the pole position to lead the A-Main from start-to-finish in his father Mark’s Valvoline-sponsored Rocket Chassis house car. Lavonia promoter Stan Lester cited safety concerns related to problems with the Georgia track’s homestretch wall for prompting his decision to call off the race, which had been rescheduled from its original May 3 date by rain.

MARNE, MI – Sept. 20, 2013 – Saturated track conditions resulting from wet weather over the past two days have forced Berlin Raceway and World of Outlaws Late Model Series officials to condense the second annual Keyser Manufacturing ‘Down & Dirty’ By NAPA Auto Parts weekend to a single day of action on Saturday (Sept. 21).

Friday night’s scheduled qualifying program at Berlin was canceled late this afternoon after it was determined that the dirt surface spread atop the 7/16th-mile asphalt oval could not be run in sufficiently to allow safe and competitive racing.
