GILLETTE, WY – July 9, 2013 – Rick Eckert’s turn to lead the World of Outlaws Late Model Series pack finally came on Tuesday night at Gillette Thunder Speedway.

The 47-year-old star from York, Pa., broke into Victory Lane for the first time this season on the national circuit, passing defending series champion Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky., for the top spot on lap 18 and then holding on to capture the Wild West Tour’s ‘Cowboy 40.’

Late-Afternoon Shower Ultimately Leads To Cancelation Of Monday Night’s Wild West Tour Event At Black Hills Speedway

RAPID CITY, SD – July 8, 2013 – A long battle to recondition the racing surface following a late-afternoon shower ultimately proved futile, forcing the cancelation of Monday night’s World of Outlaws Late Model Series ‘Wild West Tour’ event at Black Hills Speedway.

The 40-lap, $8,000-to-win race, which drew a field of 31 cars, will not be rescheduled.
