07/02/2011 – Dodge City Raceway Park

DODGE CITY, Kan. – July 2, 2011 – Jason Sides used heavy traffic to wrestle the lead away from Jason Meyers and capture the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Boot Hill Showdown finale on Saturday night at Dodge City Raceway Park, his first victory in 15 attempts at the Kansas speedway.

Meyers closed quickly but settled for the runner-up position while Sammy Swindell, Craig Dollansky and Ben Gregg rounded out the top five. One night after giving up the championship points lead, Donny Schatz reclaimed the top spot with an eighth-place finish while Joey Saldana was 13th. There are now only 69 points separating the top six drivers in the standings as the series heads to Wisconsin next weekend for events on Friday at Cedar Lake Speedway and Saturday at Beaver Dam Raceway.
