Curious which drivers you should keep an eye on at each World of Outlaws Late Model Series event? Series Announcer Ruben Mireles will bring you his top-five* picks each week.

This week: The Battle at the Crossroads at Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, GA, March 21-22

RUBEN’S TOP FIVE:

1. Cody Overton
Why: This is a homecoming for Overton as the Outlaws return to Swainsboro Raceway for the first time since 2012. He’s shown speed all year with three big wins to back it up and earned his best Outlaws finish at Volusia Speedway Park (third). Overton has tons of laps and wins at Swainsboro and has a great shot at his first Series win at home.

2. Chris Madden
Why: When in the South, never count out Chris Madden. He won the last time the Outlaws were at Swainsboro in 2012 and recently at the Spring Nationals event held at the track on Feb. 28. This weekend will be his first time racing since the passing of his father. Another win would mean a lot.

3. Sam Seawright
Why: Coming off his career-best finish with the World of Outlaws at Smoky Mountain Speedway (seventh) and five wins on the year, Seawright has been impressive. With plenty of experience at Swainsboro, he’s going to give the Outlaws a run for their money.

4. Ryan Gustin
Why: After the Tennessee Tip-Off at Smoky Mountain Speedway, the Todd Cooney Motorsports team stayed at the track and tested both cars. Gustin loves black dirt, but don’t sleep on him when he’s on the red dirt. He’s proven he can win in the south and with the well-oiled machine of a crew he has, the sky is the limit for the No. 19R.

5. Ashton Winger
Why: The 2020 World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year is looking for a comeback. Winger hasn’t had the best start to the season, sitting 22nd in points, but this weekend could be a make or break for Winger. He’s had success at Swainsboro winning the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series race held in 2023. Look for Winger to turn his performance around and start climbing the standings.

You can follow these drivers and more all weekend at Swainsboro Raceway, March 21-22, by getting your tickets in advance or at the gate.

If you can’t make it to the track, you can watch every lap live – with Ruben Mireles – on DIRTVision.
