Greg Hodnett Pockets $20,000 in Summer Nationals Makeup Feature

MECHANICSBURG, PA – Greg Hodnett’s eventful evening was capped off in style as he led all 30 laps to score the $20,000 Summer Nationals Makeup Feature from July. Lucas Wolfe came from eighth to finish second with Donny Schatz completing the podium.

Hodnett started on the front row and was strong from the drop of the green edging fellow front row starter, David Gravel early on. Gravel and Danny Dietrich had a spirited battle for second with the eventually latter taking over. Dietrich was strong on the cushion in turns one and two and closed on Hodnett significantly as the Heffner Racing No.27 was stuck in lapped traffic.

David Gravel Wins Opening Night of Champion Racing Oil National Open

Mechanicsburg, PA – September 29, 2017 – David Gravel assumed the lead after race leaders Greg Hodnett and Shane Stewart got together on lap nine. Gravel led the rest of the way, but not without a fight from Daryn Pittman and Lance Dewease, who finished second and third. Pittman and Dewease finished within a second of Gravel at the finish.

Rain Prevents Champion Racing Oil Summer Nationals Feature at Williams Grove 

MECHANICSBURG, PA — July 22, 2017 — Due to rain, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series was unable to run the Feature during the second and final night of the Champion Racing Oil Summer Nationals at Williams Grove Speedway.

Since the full schedule of events was completed up to the Feature, no refunds will be granted. The Feature will be run when the Series returns to the track for the Champion Racing Oil National Open on Thursday, September 28.

Stewart Gets First Grove Win

Shane Stewart Earns First Career Victory at the Grove

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (MAY 22, 2017) – The Larson Marks Racing team and Shane Stewart raced back-to-back nights at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Penn., and capped the big weekend by scoring their first win of the season.

On Friday night at the Grove, Stewart qualified fifth in the first flight of time trials and finished fifth in the opening heat race. He started the 25-lap feature event from the 17th position and quickly gained two spots before the first caution was displayed on Lap 3. After another caution with two laps remaining, Stewart restarted 15th and gained two more positions in the closing laps to finish 13th.

Gravel Leads Flag-To-Flag For Williams Grove Win

Second Straight Victory For CJB Motorsports

David Gravel withstood a late surge from Donny Schatz and a pair of restarts with less than five laps remaining to kickoff the weekend with a Spring Classic presented by NAPA and NGK win at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night.

Gravel started on the pole for the 25-lap main event after winning the Craftsman Club Dash and led flag-to-flag despite restarts with three and four laps remaining in the main event. It was the second win of the week in Central Pennsylvania for the Watertown, CT native who also won at Lincoln Speedway on Wednesday. It was also Gravel’s seventh victory of the season.
