Cory Hedgecock Collects First Outlaws Win

SEYMOUR, TN- June 1, 2018- On Friday evening, Cory Hedgecock collected the biggest win of his career in front of a packed house at 411 Motor Speedway. The Loudon, TN driver etched his name on the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series All-Time Wins list alongside the greatest Late Model drivers in history.

“I knew if I ever had a chance at winning one of these races, it was no doubt going to be here,” said Hedgecock. “I am tickled to death… This track was absolutely phenomenal tonight… We were no doubt going to wreck her or bring her home.”

Bergeron Scores at Limaland Motorsports Park

For the second round of the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Championship Series, the greatest virtual late model drivers traveled to the tricky Limaland circuit. This 1/4-mile dirt track sees a lot of racing up high, but interesting opportunities to make moves present themselves in lower lanes when track conditions get right.

Initially the #35 of Nick Cooper looked like the car to beat after putting in fast time in qualifying and dominating his heat race, but the rest of the quartet of heat race winners of Bergeron, Fidler, and McKinney showed they were forces to be reckoned with before the Feature ever started.

Weaver takes Volusia in Season Opener

The opening round of the new iRacing World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Championship Series brought us to Volusia Speedway Park, one of the most unique tracks on the iRacing service. The short straights, sweeping corners, and specifically the curved back straight away challenges many competitors.

With that said, the season opener was expected to be a brilliant race, and it delivered.

The first four heat races featured hard but mostly clean driving, demonstrating that these guys were here for the big show. Drivers in transfer spots early raced smart. The back half of the field took more chances. Multiple grooves widened the track as the race went on, which gave us plenty of three-wide action.

Jimmy Owens Lands First in Flight 100 Victory

FAYETTEVILLE, NC– May 12, 2018– Jimmy Owens outran the World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series regulars at Fayetteville Motor Speedway to claim a $25,001 payday during the inaugural First in Flight 100 presented by Hoker Trucking. The veteran driver of Newport, TN also collected an extra $2,001 on Friday evening after winning the 10-lap “Big C Dash for Cash” which honored the late Carlton Lamm.

Chris Madden Scores Second Win of 2018 at Senoia

SENOIA, GA– May 5, 2018– Chris Madden wheeled his way to victory at Senoia Raceway for the 4th annual Billy Clanton Classic. The Gray Court, SC driver collected his second World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series win of the season.

“Man, what an awesome place and what an awesome race to come and win,” said Madden. “Me and Shane [Clanton] are like best friends out on this tour and he has been so kind to me, him and his family. I just want to thank him from the bottom of our hearts for this race. It means a lot to me.”

Sheppard Books Third Win

LAVONIA, GA– May 3, 2018– Brandon Sheppard led flag-to-flag in front of a packed house at Lavonia Speedway to claim his third World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series feature win of the 2018 season.

The New Berlin, Ill. driver entered the event at Lavonia 40-points behind Chris Madden in the Series point standings. Unfortunately for Madden, on the half-way mark of the feature he suffered from a broken rear end which took him out of the remainder of the race. Sheppard and Madden are now tied for first in the point standings with 986 points.

McDowell Rebounds for Tennessee Tipoff Finale

MARYVILLE, TN– April 28, 2018­– The fifth annual Tennessee Tipoff at Smoky Mountain Speedway concluded on Saturday evening. Dale McDowell led flag-to-flag in the 50-lap main event to claim the $10,000 check and collect his second World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series victory of the 2018 season.

Just one night prior, the driver of Chickamauga, GA was forced to retire early on lap 33 due to extensive damage on the No.17m.

Maryville, TN- April 27, 2018- Chris “Smokey” Madden swept the evening at Smoky Mountain Speedway for the first of two nights for the 5th annual Tennessee Tipoff. The driver of the Barry Wright Race Cars House Car claimed the PFC Brakes Fast Time award, his heat win and led all 50 laps of the Craftsman Club Feature.

Queen City Shootout: Moyer Beats Clanton in Photo Finish

MERIDIAN, MS– April 21, 2018– The “House of Hook” at Whynot Motorsports Park lived up to its name on Saturday evening for the finale of the Queen City Shootout. The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series’ 50 lap feature event saw multiple lanes of hooked-up racing. When the checkered flag waved for the final time of the evening, it was Billy Moyer Jr. who was the best of the field claiming his first World of Outlaws win of the 2018 season and third all-time Series win.
