CONCORD, N.C. — Nov. 3, 2011 — Lowes Foods returns as title sponsor for the Lowes Foods World of Outlaws World Finals Presented by Tom’s Snacks, Coca-Cola and Nature’s Own beginning tonight with Kellogg’s Qualifying Night at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.

This marks the second consecutive year Lowes Foods has been title sponsor on the championship-deciding season finale for the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Big-Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series.

HEADED TO CAROLINA: The path to the 2011 World of Outlaws Late Model Series championship now runs through The Dirt Track at Charlotte – and the two combatants for the $100,000 crown are ready to hit the immaculate four-tenths-mile oval at full strength.

Rick Eckert of York, Pa., leads the WoO LMS standings by just 22 points over Josh Richards of Shinnston, W.Va., entering the World of Outlaws Showdown on Wednesday night (Oct. 12) at The Dirt Track, which is set to host three of the tour’s last four events this season.

When the national tour invades the Midwest this weekend for a huge doubleheader at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, Ill., on Friday night (Sept. 16) and I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Mo., on Saturday evening (Sept. 17), Eckert’s focus will be set squarely on doing what it takes to top a points battle that he has led since early May.
