FARLEY, IA — Aug. 6, 2018 — Mother Nature has uninvitedly joined up with the World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series for the last event of a two-week stretch of races throughout the midwestern United States. A deluge of overnight showers and thunderstorms at Farley Speedway (IA), has forced Series and track officials to cancel the $10,000-to-win Farley 50. A suitable makeup date could not be found, so the event will not be rescheduled.

Iowa Visits Flank Wild West Shootout (Take II) Road Trip

State of Iowa starts and ends second Wild West Shootout trip with Davenport (July 24th) and Farley (August 6th)

CONCORD, NC — July 20, 2018 — With the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series making its way through the midwestern United States, the premier drivers in the dirt Late Model world continue one of the closest points battles to date. With two upcoming visits to the state of Iowa, defending Series Champion Brandon Sheppard is hoping that his July 7 victory at Dubuque Speedway — the Series’ only other appearance in the Hawkeye State — will propel the New Berlin, IL standout up the points rung.

Sheppard trails Chris Madden by just 12 points for second in the standings and is 34 back of current points leader Mike Marlar. With two more races in Iowa, Sheppard is hoping that previous success earlier in the month of July will carry over and build some much-needed momentum.

Up to Speed: World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at Farley Speedway

FARLEY, IA — June 19, 2018 —The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series takes to the track at Farley Speedway in Iowa for the first time in over 20 years on Friday, June 22. The event will mark the fourth visit by the series to the now-three-eighths-mile oval. All of the drivers competing full-time with the series will be seeing the track for the first time. Donny Schatz, the nine-time and defending series champion, leads the series with 11 wins and sits atop the standings. Schatz has numerous wins in the state of Iowa in his career, with the bulk of those coming at the famed Knoxville Raceway. Brad Sweet, Shane Stewart and Kraig Kinser are also past winners in the state of Iowa. This edition of Up to Speed sets the stage for the Outlaws return to Farley Speedway.

FARLEY, IA – June 19, 2018 – For the first time ever in the state of Iowa, dirt Late Model fans will be granted unprecedented access to the stars of the World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series. Every ticket purchased in advance for the World of Outlaws events at Dubuque Speedway on July 6 and Farley Speedway on Aug. 6 will come with a free fan pit pass.

With special access to the pit area, fans will be able to meet their favorite drivers, watch crew members turn wrenches on the 800 horsepower machines, attend and listen to the drivers meeting, see lineups and results at the World of Outlaws command center and more.

World of Outlaws return to Farley Speedway on June 22

FARLEY, IA — June 13, 2018 —The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series returns to Farley Speedway in Iowa for the first time since 1994 on Friday, June 22. The event will be the fourth overall for the series at the now three-eights-mile. The previous three races for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series were run on the original half-mile configuration. The Outlaws were scheduled to race at Farley Speedway in 2004, but that event fell to inclement weather.

World of Outlaws Return to Iowa

CONCORD, NC– May 18, 2018– After a one year hiatus from Iowa, the World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series returns to the Hawkeye State three times in 2018, including stops at Dubuque Speedway on July 6, Davenport Speedway on July 24, and Farley Speedway on August 6.

As part of the Series’ 30th commemorative anniversary season, the Outlaws are returning to several tracks visited in the early years. Davenport Speedway and Farley Speedway both made their debuts with the World of Outlaws during the Series rebirth season in 2004. Both tracks have since held one additional event. The following year in 2005, Dubuque made its first and last appearance on the World of Outlaws schedule. Until now.

World of Outlaws tickets on sale for return to Farley Speedway on June 22

FARLEY, IA — May 15, 2018 — Tickets are now on sale for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series return to Farley Speedway in Iowa on Friday, June 22. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling SLS Promotions at 815-344-2023. 

The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series last visited Farley Speedway in 1994, with 20-time series champion Steve Kinser picking up the win. Kinser also won in 1993 at the track, while three-time series titlist and fellow Hall of Famer Sammy Swindell was victorious in the inaugural Outlaws race at Farley Speedway in 1992. Those three events were contested on the original half-mile configuration of the track. The track is now a three-eighths-mile.

Dirt tracks in Georgia, Iowa and New York added to schedule

CONCORD, NC­– Jan. 19, 2018­– The World of Outlaws Craftsman® Late Model Series’ 2018 schedule just got even bigger with new additions and updates to an already exciting 30th commemorative anniversary season.

“Our goal for 2018 was to develop a diverse schedule that covers a large geographic area in effort to serve dirt late model fans across the country,” said Series Director Matt Curl. “With the addition of tracks, alongside a few updates to our schedule, we feel as though we have delivered.”
