Points Leader Tunes Up For Rescheduled Firecracker With 30th Career Win

SARVER, Pa. (Sept. 4) — Shane Clanton of Zebulon, Ga., returned to his winning ways on Friday night, scoring a convincing victory in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series Working Man 50 at Lernerville Speedway.

Taking advantage of his position starting spot, Clanton jumped into the lead at the initial green flag and never looked back in his Ron Davies-owned Capital Race Car. He brushed off a mid-race threat from the Josh Richards of Shinnston, W.Va., en route to beating the red-hot Rocket Chassis house car driver by 0.932 of a second.

Working Man 50/Firecracker 100 Finale Labor Day Doubleheader

Sarver, Pa. – Sept. 1, 2015 – The World of Outlaws Late Model Series will be returning to the Lernerville Speedway Sept. 4-5 for an impromptu doubleheader featuring the biggest names in Dirt Late Model racing.  When the Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com was washed out in June, World of Outlaws officials decided to reschedule the “Firecracker Finale” for Saturday, Sept. 5, in conjunction with the Working Man 50 scheduled for Friday, Sept. 4.

ERIE, Pa. – Aug. 23, 2015 – Josh Richards of Shinnston, W.Va., wrapped up a perfect weekend on the World of Outlaws Late Model Series with a dominating victory in front of a near-capacity crowd Sunday night at Eriez Speedway.

Richards, who opened the national tour’s three-race weekend with victories at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio, on Friday and Saturday, overtook WoO LMS points leader Shane Clanton of Zebulon, Ga., on lap 31 of Sunday’s 50-lap A-Main at Eriez and cruised through the remainder of the caution-free race on his way to his ninth WoO LMS victory of the season and his fifth in the tour’s past six races.

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – Aug. 22, 2015 – Josh Richards of Shinnston, W.Va., put on another stellar performance Saturday night at Atomic Speedway, leading all 50 laps of the night’s main event to complete a sweep of the 3/8-mile oval’s World of Outlaws Late Model Series doubleheader weekend.

The three-time WoO LMS champion left no doubt as to who was the dominant car at Atomic’s two-race event in driving his Valvoline Rocket Chassis house car to a lead of more than eight seconds in Saturday’s caution-free race. Richards, 27, earned $10,150 for his eighth WoO LMS victory of the season and his fourth in the national tour’s past five events.

Richards Opens Three-Race World of Outlaws Late Model Series Weekend With First-Career Atomic Speedway Victory

Three-Time Series Champion Scores Seventh WoO LMS Victory of 2015 and His Third Triumph in Past Four Series Events

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – Aug. 21, 2015 – Josh Richards kept his recent World of Outlaws Late Model Series hot streak rolling Friday night with a convincing victory during the first of the national tour’s back-to-back nights of racing at Atomic Speedway.

Richards, the three-time WoO LMS champion from Shinnston, W.Va., overtook race-long leader Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky., on lap 26 of Friday’s 40-lap race at the 3/8-mile oval and drove his Valvoline-sponsored Rocket Chassis house car to his third victory in the past four WoO LMS events.

The $8,650 triumph marked Richards’ seventh WoO LMS win of the season and the 56th of his career. Even more significantly, the victory was Richards’ first at Atomic Speedway.

Chub Frank has extra reason to be excited for this weekend’s World of Outlaws Late Model Series events with the national tour set to visit a pair of tracks that are particularly memorable to the veteran Bear Lake, Pa., driver.

Frank, 53, will join the rest of the WoO LMS touring stars in visiting Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio, for separate WoO LMS programs on Friday and Saturday before heading to Eriez Speedway in Hammett, Pa., for another event on Sunday.
