World of Outlaws History: Sides amassed 23 top-ten finishes in the 2017 Season and finished 11th in the Series Point Standings. The veteran and former Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year returns to the Series once again in 2018.
In 2016, Jason Sides was triumphant at his home track at I-30 Speedway, and he amassed five top-five and 28 top-ten performances.
His first full World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series season came in 2003. Sides finished that season sixth in the points and took home the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year award.
In the 13 seasons that have followed, Sides has scored 14 series wins and scored a top-five place finish in the championship standings twice – 2009 and 2010. Sides scored a season-best four wins in 2010 and 2011.
Previous Racing History: Sides began his sprint car career in 1993… After several seasons with the American Sprint Car Series, Sides joined the World of Outlaws Gumout Series in 2001… In 2001, Sides was named the Gumout Series Rookie of the Year, the Knoxville Nationals Rookie of the Year and the National Sprint Car Rookie of the Year by the by the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame… Sides’ brother Paul is the crew of his team.
