Rain Crashes PA Party Race #1

18 LM GroveRain cancel

MECHANICSBURG, PA — Aug. 17, 2018 — Mother Nature has uninvitedly joined up again with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series for the second event of a four-day stretch of races throughout the eastern United States. Afternoon thunderstorms settled over Williams Grove Speedway, and Friday night’s event has been cancelled. A suitable makeup date could not be found, so the event will not be rescheduled. The Series does, however, have plans to return to the facility in 2019.

“We were really looking forward to racing at such a prestigious facility,” stated World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series Director Matt Curl. “Unfortunately, we will have to wait for another time to make it happen.”

From Williams Grove, the Series heads one hour north to the Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, August 18. Brandon Sheppard won the first race back since the 2008 season last year and will look to repeat that success in 2018. Track information can be found at http://portroyalspeedway.com/

The Pennsylvania swing will wrap up on Sunday, August 19 at the Eriez Speedway in Erie, PA. Track information can be found at http://www.eriez-speedway.com/
