A lifelong dream comes true for Kasey Kahne in 2022. The timing is finally right, and he's ready to become a full-time World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series driver.
The former NASCAR Cup Series star has already left his mark on The Greatest Show on Dirt as a car owner. The Kasey Kahne Racing dynasty has claimed four championships with Daryn Pittman (2013) and Brad Sweet (2019-21), but now Kasey himself wants to enter the mix.
He'll be behind the wheel of the KKR #9 for 90+ nights of racing from coast to coast.
The itch to return more regularly to the 900+ horsepower beasts came in 2021 when he subbed for James McFadden and eventually joined Roth Motorsports to close out the final 25 races of the season.
The Enumclaw, WA native has always competed on & off with the Outlaws since he rose to prominence in the early 2000s. His most notable run came at the 2002 Kings Royal when he put the Durst #51K on the pole and finished fifth.
