Jacob Allen had the break out season everyone was waiting for in 2020. He won his first World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car race at Dodge City Raceway Park and ended the year with a career-high eighth-place finish in points.

The year before, Allen was one lap away to claiming his first win at the Stockton Dirt Track in 2019 before an ignition box failure ended his night. He ended the season 12th in the Series Championship Point Standings.

In 2018, he had a career-best year, leading a total of 67 laps and finishing 11th in points.

2017 saw Allen finish 14th in points on the strength of three top-ten finishes and saw the 2nd-generation driver lead the first four laps of the Feature at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND.

In 2016 Jacob Allen registered two podium performances at Ocean Speedway and Ohsweken Speedway. He finished his third full season 12th in the Championship Standings. In 2015, Allen had two top-ten finishes and finished 13th in the championship standings.

Allen undertook his rookie campaign with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series during the 2014 season, driving for Shark Racing, his family-owned team. He scored his first heat race win toward the end of 2014 and his first Dash appearance.
