World of Outlaws History: 2019 saw Brent Marks win the biggest race of his career, so far – the National Open at Williams Grove Speedway.
The win helped Marks have a strong end to an up and down 2019 season. His home state win at Williams Grove was his sole win of the year, but he came close on several other occasions to more big wins. He finished second on the final night of the Music City Outlaw Nationals and finished third at the Kings Royal.
In 2018, Marks scored his first career World of Outlaws win at Wilmot Raceway on June 2, 2018. He quickly followed it up with two more wins for a total of three wins in the 2018 season.
In 2017, Marks competed for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year in a unique fashion, completing the entire grueling World of Outlaws tour with just one full-time crew guy. Marks steadily improved throughout the season and finished 10th in the Series Point Standings.
Marks’ first appearance on the tour was in May 2009 at Williams Grove Speedway. Since then Marks has compiled four wins with the Series.
Previous Racing History: Marks, whose dream was to compete full-time on the tour, finished fifth in the 2016 Speedway Motors/Champion Racing Oil Central PA Sprint Cars presented by Hoseheads championship. In 64 races last season, Marks amassed four wins, 23 top-5 and 41 top-ten performances. Marks started racing locally at nine years old, but went on to win more than 350 races and 16 championships in go-karting and micro sprints.
