Outlaws Will Return to Bridgeport Speedway in 2019

SWEDESBORO, NJ – May 31, 2018 – The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series and Bridgeport Speedway officials have announced that the event rained out on May 22, 2018, will not be able to be rescheduled during the 2018 season. Both World of Outlaws and Bridgeport officials worked closely looking for a new date but were unable to find an opening that would make sense for both parties. The Outlaws eagerly await their debut on the new configuration at Design for Vision/Sunglass Central Speedway at Bridgeport Speedway next year, as talks for the 2019 schedule have already begun.

For the second round of the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Championship Series, the greatest virtual late model drivers traveled to the tricky Limaland circuit. This 1/4-mile dirt track sees a lot of racing up high, but interesting opportunities to make moves present themselves in lower lanes when track conditions get right.

Initially the #35 of Nick Cooper looked like the car to beat after putting in fast time in qualifying and dominating his heat race, but the rest of the quartet of heat race winners of Bergeron, Fidler, and McKinney showed they were forces to be reckoned with before the Feature ever started.
