Saldana Fights Handling Problems in Salina

SALINA, Okla. (May 1, 2015) – Yesterday the Motter Motorsports team participated in HE&M Saw Employee Recognition Day at the company’s headquarters in Pryor, Okla. The day’s activities included a barbecue and HE&M Saw employees had a chance to examine the 71M Sprint Car and ask driver Joey Saldana and the team questions.

Saldana and team owner Dan Motter also surprised CEO Doug Harris with a Shell Shock designed and painted, race worn HE&M Saw helmet.

Sweet Homecoming Victory for Shane Stewart at Salina

Stewart was joined on the podium by fellow Oklahome-native Daryn Pittman

SALINA, Okla. – May 1, 2015 – What a sweet homecoming it was for Bixby, Okla.-native Shane Stewart on Friday night as he stood in victory lane at Salina Highbanks Speedway with his third World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series win of the season.

“This was one of the tracks that I really, really wanted to win at this year,” Stewart said. “It’s really, really good to win in front of my fans and all my friends and family. I’ve got Jenn and Nixon here with me. It’s a good night.”

Stewart battled past Brad Sweet and Aaron Reutzel, and through several restarts throughout the 25-lap feature.

ELKIN, N.C. – May 1, 2015 – Chris Ferguson finally has a World of Outlaws Late Model Series victory on his resume.

Avoiding the bad luck that has plagued him in a number of past events, Ferguson, 25, of Mount Holly, N.C., led every lap of Friday night’s Blue Ridge Bash to earn a career-high $10,550 for his first career WoO LMS victory in the national tour’s first ever visit to Friendship Motor Speedway.

5/2/2015 – Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55

PEVELY, Mo. – May 2, 2015 – Christopher Bell scored a thrilling second ever World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series win during the Spring Classic at Federated Auto Parts Raceway I-55 on Saturday night. The three-way battle between Bell, Jason Sides and Sammy Swindell dominated much of the feature, but it was a green-white-checkered finish that proved pivotal. Bell jumped out to a sizable lead over Sides while Swindell, Daryn Pittman and Joey Saldana battled over third. Ultimately, it was Saldana by a nose for third.
