PEAKING AT THE RIGHT TIME: CJB Conquerors Ironman Opener at Pevely

TELFORD, PA. – July 30, 2014 – In a season that spans nearly ten months, it is important to peak at the right time. For Paul McMahan and his CJB Motorsports team, early August is the perfect time to get red hot as the granddaddy of them all is just around the corner.

“It may have been a long night but I’m happy we got the win, ” said McMahan, a California native. “Between rain delays and a catch fence repair, our opener at Pevely was a marathon but we’ll take the result as we head into Knoxville.”

Kraig Kinser Tackles Knoxville Nationals Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — August 5, 2014 —There is no week like it the rest of the season. A preliminary night, with heavily inverted and stacked heat races, that can make or break the rest of the week. Crucial event-points earned each time a driver takes the track. Over 100 cars entered for just 24 starting spots. It is a pressure-filled equation called the Knoxville Nationals at the famed Knoxville Raceway in Iowa. Kraig Kinser conquered the biggest event in sprint car racing in 2005, joining his father, Steve, the 12-time winner of the Knoxville Nationals, and the pair remains the only father/son duo to ever win it.

Podium Streak Continues for Schatz

The World of Outlaws (WoO) STP Sprint Car Series staged the two-night Ironman event at Federated Auto Parts Racing at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri Friday and Saturday and, for the third consecutive season, Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Donny Schatz finished second in the season’s longest race. Schatz wheeled the TSR No. 15 STP/Armor All/Crimsafe J&J to his seventh and eighth consecutive podium finishes with Friday’s third-place run and Saturday’s runner-up effort. TSR’s Steve Kinser had a strong run going Saturday in the TSR No. 11 Bad Boy Buggies/J.D. Byrider/Chevrolet Performance Maxim before a broken rear end ended his night 28 laps into the 55-lap marathon.
