LAKE CITY, MI – Aug. 17, 2013 – Tim Fuller’s long-awaited return to Victory Lane on the World of Outlaws Late Model Series finally occurred on Saturday night at Merritt Speedway.
Snapping a frustrating winless streak that stretched over three years and 133 races, Fuller charged forward from the 14th starting spot and beat upset-minded Michiganders Eric Spangler and Rich Neiser in a thrilling three-wide finish to capture the NAPA Auto Parts Merrit 50 Presented by Allstar Performance.
MINOT, N.D. – Aug. 18, 2013 – Donny Schatz’s World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series hot streak continued on Sunday night at Nodak Speedway as he won for the third time in four races, completed a sweep of weekend events in his home state of North Dakota and won for the 16th time this year.
Steve Kinser led the first 30 laps, but a bobble in traffic was all Schatz needed to sweep into the lead and drive off with the victory. Kinser held off Tim Kaeding for second with Jason Sides and track-record-setter Joey Saldana in fifth.
