Rain Washes Out Friday Night’s World of Outlaws Late Model Series Qualifying Program At Berlin Raceway

Keyser Manufacturing ‘Down & Dirty 100’ Presented by NAPA Will Be Run As One-Day Show On Saturday Night (Sept. 22)

MARNE, MI – Sept. 21, 2012 – Rain forced the cancelation of Friday night’s World of Outlaws Late Model Series qualifying program at Berlin Raceway, setting up one full evening of action on Saturday topped by the historic Keyser Manufacturing ‘Down & Dirty 100’ presented by NAPA Auto Parts.

Berlin officials made the decision to shorten the weekend to a single night of racing on Saturday (Sept. 22) after showers settled over the 7/16th-mile oval late Friday afternoon and forecasts called for more precipitation to plague the area throughout the night.

Weather Forces World of Outlaws Cancelation at Eldora Speedway

The series heads to Lernerville Speedway for the Commonwealth Clash on Saturday

ROSSBURG, Ohio — Sept. 21, 2012 — The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series 4-Crown Nationals event at Eldora Speedway on Friday has been cancelled because of impending rain and the potential of severe weather.

There is no rain date at the half-mile track. It marks the 11th World of Outlaws event that has been postponed or cancelled because of weather this season.

Dollansky has Strong Run in Return to Eagle

Craig Dollansky and the rest of the World of Outlaws were supposed to return to Eagle Raceway in late April.  Unfortunately, during that portion of the season Mother Nature was making her presence known and the race was postponed.  On Wednesday much more favorable weather allowed the Big Game Treestands #7 team to return to the track in ‘The Cornhusker State’ for the first time in three years.

MARNE, MI – Sept. 20, 2012 – Rick Eckert was reminded of another racetrack as soon as he took his first practice laps around the newly dirt-covered Berlin Raceway on Thursday.

But the defending World of Outlaws Late Model Series champion wouldn’t publicly declare the name of the speedway he likens to Berlin, a well-known 7/16th-mile paved oval that has been transformed into a dirt track for this weekend’s historic $20,000-to-win Keyser Manufacturing ‘Down & Dirty 100’ presented by NAPA Auto Parts.
