Bloomquist Cruises To Second Career Victory In Firecracker 100 Presented by GottaRace.com At Lernerville Speedway

Lanigan’s Late-Race Bid Falls Short In World of Outlaws Late Model Series Spectacular

By Kevin Kovac, WoO LMS P.R. Director

SARVER, PA – June 30, 2012 – Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, Tenn., was flawless from start-to-finish en route to his second career victory in the Firecracker 100 Presented by GottaRace.com on Saturday night at Lernerville Speedway.

He gracefully handled the race’s two restarts and outlasted the late-charging Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky., to become the second two-time winner of the six-year-old World of Outlaws Late Model Series event.

The Australian wins his second World of Outlaws feature in the last six races

BELLEVILLE, Kan. — June 29, 2012 — Kerry Madsen was as patient as anyone during the nearly 90-minute delay for track work prior to Friday’s feature.

Once he hit the track, it was a different story. Madsen picked up his second World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series victory in the past six races to cap a blistering day that featured temperatures in the triple digits at Belleville High Banks.

“That was well worth the wait,” he said with a big smile. “The track was awesome, wide open around the cushion.”

6/30/2012 – Lakeside Speedway

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — June 30, 2012 — Sammy Swindell rocketed by leader Kraig Kinser on a restart early and then held on amid lightning at Lakeside Speedway.

Kinser maintained a close second the rest of the race, but was unable to record the victory. It would have been his fourth in the last nine Outlaws races.

Instead, Swindell added to his series-best six victories as a storm hit shortly after the checkered flag. (CLICK FOR FULL RACE REPORT)
