Each week throughout the season we will provide a Q&A with a team member within the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. This week we chose Rob Hart – a veteran around the pits and the crew chief for Kerry Madsen.

Name: Rob Hart

Hometown: Nassau, N.Y.

Team: Keneric Group #29

Title: Crew Chief

Background: Rob went to his first race when he was only 8 days old. Since then he has spent countless hours at the track as a fan, driver and a crew member. After a 20-year career as a driver ended in 1996, Rob has worked on a variety of sprint car teams competing on the World of Outlaws tour.

Kerry Madsen — Chico Up Next

(Bill W) March 21, 2012 – A racing deal put Kerry Madsen on his lid last Friday night at the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, California.  Instead of getting right back out on the track Saturday, rain intervened.  The St. Mary’s, New South Wales, Australia native will have to wait until this weekend, when the World of Outlaws invade the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California for the Mini-Gold Cup.

Kasey Kahne Challenge Gearing Up With World of Outlaws

The four-race series will compete in Missouri, Maryland, Indiana and Nebraska

CONCORD, N.C. — March 21, 2012 — Race fans, strap in and get ready.

In conjunction with SLS Promotions, NASCAR star Kasey Kahne is promoting a four-race event – the “Kasey Kahne Challenge” – across the Midwest and East Coast with the World of Outlaws this season.

Round 1, which is presented by Sage Fruit, is set for Friday, April 20, at Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Mo. The second race will be Sunday, May 20, at Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Md. The Challenge shifts to Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo, Ind., for a race on Tuesday, June 5, before wrapping up at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Neb., on Tuesday, Aug. 14.

FARMER CITY, IL – March 21, 2012 – Shane Clanton sure is pleased that the Illini 100 will end a one-year absence from Farmer City Raceway‘s schedule on March 30-31.

No surprise there, of course. The standout driver from Fayetteville, Ga., is a former winner of the marquee World of Outlaws Late Model Series event at the quarter-mile oval, capturing the race’s $20,000 top prize in 2009.
