RACE REPORT: Kinser Wins Thrilling Finale of Inaugural Outlaws World Finals

Steve Kinser had won a lot of close races in his career, including two of the three closest finishes this season, and he added to this total on Saturday night, inching out Danny Lasoski by 0.150 seconds in the finale of the inaugural Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

RACE REPORT: Saldana Wins Opening Night of Trophy Cup at Thunderbowl Raceway

Joey Saldana is batting .500 this season at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, California. He won in the World of Outlaws first visit of the season to the track back in February and earned his second win in four tries on Friday, during the opening night of the 14th annual Trophy Cup for 360-sprint cars.

RACE REPORT: Meyers Wins Trophy Cup; Hannagan Wins Night Two Feature

Jason Meyers had been close to winning the Trophy Cup a number of times over the last five seasons, including coming up just one position short on the track last season. On Saturday night he earned his second consecutive finish of fourth or better to wrap up the overall Trophy Cup title at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, California, which earned him $15,000.

RACE REPORT: Lasoski Wins Inaugural Turkey Open Wheel Classic at Springfield Raceway

Danny Lasoski always enjoys racing in his home state of Missouri and he especially enjoys winning in front of his home state fans. The native of Dover, Missouri capped off his 2007 season on Saturday night by winning the inaugural Turkey Open Wheel Classic at Springfield Raceway in Springfield, Missouri.

RACE REPORT: Schatz Wins Princeton PolyDome National

One of the main goals that Donny Schatz had for the 2007 season was to win more races than he did in 2006. In earning his first World of Outlaws championship last season, he earned 17 A-Feature wins. He surpassed that mark on Saturday night, after being victorious in the PolyDome Princeton National at Princeton Speedway in Minnesota to claim his 18th A-Feature win of the season and the 69th of his career.

RACE REPORT: Lasoski Marches To Manzy Victory

Danny Lasoski’s car didn’t sound too good when it crossed the finish line on Friday night at Manzanita Speedway, and the left rear tire didn’t look too good either, but all that mattered was that it crossed the line first, as he earned his sixth World of Outlaws A-Feature win of the season and the second of his career at the storied half-mile.

RACE REPORT: Madsen Captures Perris Win

It didn’t really concern Kerry Madsen that he had never seen Perris Auto Speedway prior to Saturday afternoon, because his team has had plenty of experience and a good deal of success at the half-mile in the past. With veteran crew chief Sonny Kratzer turning the wrenches, the rookie driver was fast right out of the box in his first visit to the track located east of Los Angeles.

RACE REPORT: Lasoski Wins at Calistoga Speedway

Danny Lasoski became the first driver in World of Outlaws history in 2003 to put together a clean sweep of a race night, when he did it at Calistoga Speedway, by setting fast time, winning a heat race, winning the Crane Cams Dash and winning the A-Feature. He nearly matched that feat on Saturday night again at Calistoga Speedway, as he won the second heat race, was victorious in the Crane Cams Dash and dominated the A-Feature. The only thing missing was quick time, as he was second fastest in time trials.
