Darrell Lanigan is among the most decorated Late Model drivers in the history of the sport. A three-time World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series champion, second on the all-time Series wins list, 2003 Dirt Late Model Dream winner, 2012 USA Nationals winner, 2014 Firecracker 100 champion… the list goes on.
“The Bluegrass Bandit,” as he’s also known, founded and currently operates Club 29 Chassis, fabricating his own performance Late Model frames.
An original “Dirty Dozen” member of the World of Outlaws Late Models, Lanigan spent much of his professional career aboard the full-time Outlaw roster until presented with the opportunity to drive for NASCAR veteran Clint Bowyer’s Late Model team in 2015. He stayed with Bowyer Dirt through 2018, until the two decided to part ways, bringing Darrell back into full-time Outlaw competition for 2019.
This year, Darrell is back in his iconic black color scheme, ready to add to his feature win total and take back his spot atop the all-time wins list, also chasing his fourth World of Outlaws crown.
